FRESH IDEA:  Greetings from the DC/Baltimore area!  I’ve taken a little spring break time off, but did want to share a tasty tid bit spotted in Washington DC, amidst the crowds at the Smithsonian:  DC’s On The Fly.  Founded in 2007, these compact Smartkarts are GEM Electric Vehicles set-up to “eco-vend” healthy food selections to on-the-go patrons.  So instead of hot dogs, soft pretzels, and various meats on sticks options, they offer natural, organic selections such as organic tacos and salads.  And again, they’re transported with American-made, zero-emission, plug-in trucks.  These smartkarts cetainly help feed the needs — and stomachs — of today’s health and wellness minded consumers.  Have a good holiday.  More nuggets to come next week!  TASTY TREND:  Feeling good about doing good.
